Pakoras, a prawn curry and a game of pool, thanks. These were among the orders of the day at SPROUT's latest event – a night at Ponsonby Food Hall and Pool Hall (for afters). Several met for dinner and a drink at the Foodhall and later, retired downstairs to the pool hall where the women definitely held their own. We chalked up some solo and doubles action and it all proved to be a bit of fun.

What's SPROUT again? SPROUT stands for: St Paul's Regular OUTings. When we say regular we mean regular – just like a good laxative. SPROUT seeks to connect people by providing ongoing social events. Look out for future events to come to, mix and mingle. Our next event is a low-key tramp organised by Louise Grant, scheduled for May 16. It's time to retrieve your boots from that far-flung corner of the wardrobe and dust them off. See you there!
