If you want to get connected somehow, then this is for you.
No matter who you are, what you do, or where you're at in life, we would love to help you find your way into community here.
It's tough doing life alone. We reckon that humans thrive when they are in a community where they can be known, with friends that help them do life well. For some of us it may be our neighborhood, our sports club, the local cafe on a Saturday morning, or maybe even at work.
We reckon that it's a really important part of what church is too, so we want to help you to find it here. Our Sunday gatherings are a bit too big to be community, but a Cluster, well that's kind of like your extended family, a small tribe – or just a really good bunch to hang out with.
Clusters are our way of helping people create authentic communities in which they can relate well, and practice the art of loving God, one another, and the wider world.
Most of our clusters have 2-3 small groups in them, and about 20-40 people. Each one is unique – an expression of those involved. Like a good party, when someone new turns up, the mix changes, but the groove keeps on cooking.
We want everyone to feel welcome and be part of a real community here, one where people share their lives in the good times and the not so good times. A group where people have plenty of opportunity to be involved, and have a launching pad for loving and serving others.
We gather together as church on three scales at St Paul’s:
BIG all together at our Sunday celebrations
MEDIUM monthly/fortnightly in mid-size communities called Clusters
SMALL fortnightly/weekly in small groups within each cluster (We recommend joining a
cluster first, and then a small group within it).
As you will see there is a diverse range of groups that meet across the city. So take a look and see if any clusters stand out to you (and by all means contact and visit a few of them to see what they're like) then take the plunge of entering community.
